360 VIDEO DOCUMENTARY & ART

At VostokVR, we see 360 video not as a gimmick, but a powerful tool that conveys your brand's core message. Our company is proud to work with both non-profit and charity organizations, knowing that exceptionally good VR tech, like 360 video, brings out the best and most generous in donors to your cause. In addition to NGOs, documentary-style 360 video is also indispensable to commercial agencies.

When a business is looking to discuss serious topics, or showcase corporate social responsibility of their brands, a 360 video documentary is a go-to tool. VostokVR couldn't agree more. We're always eager to support a good cause, and believe that filming a 360 video documentary is the best way to strengthen and promote great causes.

And why do we believe that? Because we've done it!

City of Dawn (Auroville)

Once a year Vostok VR chooses a passion project based on a theme. In 2016 that was award-winning documentary Happyland360, a film about children living in a slum near Manila’s city centre. In 2017 it was the award-winning cinematic experience Abandon, a project filmed in a ghost tower in the centre of Bangkok. In 2018 the team travelled to Auroville in Pondicherry to explore utopias with Singaporean poet and photographer Marc Nair who directed the VR film. This was the first project for Vostok VR to use a guest director.

Moon ribas vr

Vostok VR was approached by leading Media Agency PHD Singapore. They were hosting Moon Ribas, a Spanish cyborg artist and activist, at Spikes Festival of Creativity and wanted to capture the moment in a new and unique way.

As part of her work, Ribas has implanted sensors in her feet that allow her to feel seismic activity, like earthquakes and tsunami, and their corresponding intensity. When she feels vibrations in the sensors, she expresses the sensations through dance. Vostok VR captured this experience and Ribas’ thoughts on technology and humanity in a virtual reality movie..
